Candidate Name: Colleen West Coates

Seeking the office of: Town Moderator

Term of Office: 2 years

Years/months as Raymond resident: 20 years

Prior experience in municipal service (50 words or less): School Board (2 years), Budget Committee (6 years), various sub-committees, PTO member and president.

2010 Question (100 words or less): How would you reconcile your personal views with your function as a member of your board/office and your charge to represent the best interests of all Raymond citizens? In the role of town moderator, it is morally and ethically incumbent upon me to set aside all personal views and to remain completely objective. It would be most ideal if my personal opinions and biases were unknown; however, given my past political endeavors this would be impossible. Therefore, I will need to be thoroughly familiar with the NH State R.S.A.’s regarding elections and deliberative sessions to assist me in holding an impartial and, most importantly, fair meeting for ALL the citizens of Raymond.
