Years/months as Raymond resident: 40 years and 4 months

Prior experience in municipal service (50 words or less): Moderator Six years, School Board 11 years, Stewardship committee 3 years High School building committee 3 years , Zoning Board of Adjustments 1 year as a replacement, Raymond Business and Economic Development Council 3 years, Budget Committee 4 years, State Representative 5 + years.

2010 Question (100 words or less): How would you reconcile your personal views with your function as a member of your board/office and your charge to represent the best interests of all Raymond citizens? Although a moderator may have a personal view, he/she should not express that view during deliberations or elections. The moderator presides over the deliberative session meeting and the federal, state and local elections according to state laws. As we know, most persons have an opinion on most subjects. However, as moderator those opinions are put aside during deliberations and elections .The moderator must be fair and objective to all, following those laws.
