Candidate Name: Nicole Yurek

Seeking the office of: School Board Member

Term of Office: 3 years

Years/months as a Raymond resident: 2 years

Prior experience in municipal service (limit 50 words):

I have not served in municipal office. I do, however, meet with special education teams, teachers and parents of students throughout Southern NH on a regular basis.

2011 Question (limit 100 words): How would you reconcile your personal views with your function as a member of your board/office and your charge to represent the best interests of all Raymond citizens?

My personal views have been shaped through years of unique experience in childcare, teaching grades 1 and 2, Junior High, and High School and in early supports and services for children ages 0-3. Given my background, my personal view would lead me to the assumption that 2 out of 3 schools continually failing is unacceptable. I am open to all ideas on how we can fix this problem, because bottom line, the children of Raymond deserve better.
