Candidate Name: Pamela Turcotte

Seeking the office of: Ethics Committee

Term of Office: 3 years

Years/months as a Raymond resident: 13 years

Prior experience in municipal service (limit 50 words): I have served on the Ethics Committee for the last 5 years, at least 3 as chair. I also serve on the Riverside Park Committee as Treasurer and have been very active with the Coalition for the last 5 years.

2011 Question (limit 100 words): How would you reconcile your personal views with your function as a member of your board/office and your charge to represent the best interests of all Raymond citizens?

When it comes to Ethics, there is an obligation to the community to act in an ethical manner with no appearance of personal benefit. The code is not a law but a guideline that was established for and voted in by the entire community. Our job as a committee is to educate and advise all interested parties.
