Raymond Town Warrant 2011
Town of Raymond
State of New Hampshire
Article 18
Article 18 was amended at the Town Deliberative session on 5 February 2011
to amend the following text to the end of the article:
"...This commitment will expire in 10 years if the project
is not 100% complete and open to its members. Additionally, this land
may not be transferred by UVCR without the written consent of the Town
of Raymond's Board of Selectmen. The final terms of this transaction shall
be as established by the Board of Selectmen, as the Board deems such terms
in the best interest of the Town."
Shall the Town of Raymond vote to rescind both Article 26 of the 2007
Town Meeting and Article 19 of the 2008 Town Meeting which provided for
a lease-purchase agreement between the Town and the United Veterans Club
of Raymond (UVCR), a non-profit Club established to operate and own property
for establishing a meeting place for all veteran organizations in the
Town pursuant to UVCR by-laws, for a three (3) acre parcel of Town land
fronting on Route 27 shown on Tax Map No 38 as Lot No. 4-1 on the Raymond
Tax Map and to transfer said parcel to the United Veterans Club of Raymond
at no cost? The three acre parcel has been subdivided from Tax Map 38
Lot No. 4 with that cost borne by the UVCR and any further costs to transfer
the property to the UVCR would also be borne by them. This commitment
will expire in 10 years if the project is not 100% complete and open to
its members. Additionally, this land may not be transferred by UVCR without
the written consent of the Town of Raymond’s Board of Selectmen. The final
terms of this transaction shall be as established by the Board of Selectmen,
as the Board deems such terms in the best interest of the Town.
This is a Petitioned Warrant Article.
