Article 2: Zoning Amendment 1
Time Extension for Emergency Water Line Zoning
Are you in favor of the adoption of Amendment No. 1 as proposed by the
Planning Board for the town zoning ordinance as follows: To amend Article
V- Area and Dimensional Requirements, Section 5.100 (b) to allow the emergency
water line zoning amendment passed at the March 2010 Town Meeting to continue
until December 31, 2011, instead of terminating "…within 18 months of
enactment" as is currently stated. The purpose of the amendment is to
allow the Planning Board additional time to continue to develop a plan
for the orderly development of municipal services needed to accommodate
the potential growth of lots which are connected to the water line adjacent
to the Motollo Superfund site. The ordinance will terminate on December
31, 2011.
Recommended by the Planning Board.
